I love using my Cricut to make gifts for my students and colleagues but I decided to put it to use on my bulletin boards too. The first board is based on Bloom's Taxonomy. I change the strategies and sentence frames every week depending on the skills being taught. The second board is my glorified job chart. My students get a weekly salary of $2000 for doing their classwork/homework. Students who take on classroom jobs get an extra $500 added to their salary. Our mascot is a dragon so I made up my classroom money and call it "Castle Cash."
Students have to fill out a job application weekly for the position they would like. They have to convince me that they are the best candidate for the job :)
It was my hubby's birthday this week and I wanted to make a more masculine looking birthday card. He's a big time Raider fan so the colors are black and gray to go along with all the Raider apparel and Raider tickets he got for his birthday.
Can you tell that I've got a bit of a theme going on? My card is hanging on the top of the chair. I can't wait for him to come home :) I hope he likes it!
It's time for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. I love to look at all the projects that everyone makes for her challenges, but I decided that I would participate in it this time too. She is giving away a set of Cri-Kit markers and I hope I win... PICK ME... PICK ME... PICK ME... LOL.
P.S. Sorry about the horrible lighting on the picture... my hubby took the camera and I had to use my cell phone. Leave me a comment or become a follower... My goal is to hit double digits :)
I had so much fun making these baby wipe cases. The letters "love" and "cute" can be found at Target for $1 each. I found the fabric for each at JoAnn's in the scrap fabric section. I had to keep the pink and green one for myself. But I gave away the blue one to my boss. I'm thinking I'll make some more as baby shower gifts.
Each day I wake up and thank God for blessing my life so abundantly. I've met and married my true love and we've made the most precious baby girls together. My life as a mother and a wife is more than I could have ever asked for and I am so thankful. I love to laugh with my friends and I long to see my parents and brothers. As a teacher, I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to educate young minds and help my students strive for success. I'm living each day in God's glory and I'm anxious to see where he will lead me.
