It's a Girl!

Dec 27, 2010

I have to admit that I haven't been in a crafty mood lately. But my good friends Carol and Raul had a baby shower and I was forced into being crafty. She is due any day now and they're expecting a little girl. Maybe this small gift will give me back my mojo.

Baby Girl... Baby Wipe Cases

Nov 5, 2010

These two cases were made for some friends. Both requested pink and brown. The letters were bought at Target in the scrap booking section for $1. Fabric from the remnant section at JoAnn's. Ribbon from Michaels. No sewing involved just hot glue and some patience :)

Framed

Oct 26, 2010

Here is a super quick project. I think I was able to get it done in less than 20 minutes. At Made By Momo, the challenge is to make anything but a card. So I decided to make this little frame for my little princess.

Wooden frame from Michaels (2 for $1)
Sweet Treats
Ribbon from Walmart

P.S. Did you check out my side bar? ------------------------------->
The Stamping Boutique is giving out some amazing blog candy. Over $250 worth of goodies. Including a 36 pack of Copic Markers. Tell them teachu14 sent you :) I really want those markers ;)

Think Pink

Oct 25, 2010

My prayers go out to all the lives that have been affected by cancer. This one's for you ladies...

Made for My Pink Stamper's Think Pink Week.

I love this digital image but I just removed the link where I got it from. Lelia from Green Goddess Creations discovered that Sassy has copied this image from another artist (click here to see the copied image that was copyrighted in 2004).

Fall Pumpkin

Oct 24, 2010

I'm entering this one into More Than Favor's Wacky Wednesday Challenge. The challenge is a fruit and veggie theme.

Cute & Simple

Oct 12, 2010

This cute and simple card was made for My Pink Stamper's Count down to Karlee, day 2 challenge. You just had to make something cute.

Used:
New Arrival
Sentiment: Scrappy Mom's

Creepy Crawly

Wow! I've had this project on my "to do" list for about a week now. It's for Crafting with Cristina's Companion Challenge #8, Spooktacular Colors. Her companion for this challenge is Ivette from All About Me & My Scrapbook. The challenge is to  create a Halloween themed project WITHOUT using orange & black. You can use one or the other, but NOT both.

I've also entered this project into My Pink Stamper's challenge. She said to make a Halloween or Fall project.

I used:
Mini Monsters - for the spiders
Martha Stewart's Spider Web Punch
Sentiment: Scrappy Moms

Who stole my nuts?

Oct 9, 2010

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge is to create a shpae card using the color orange. I'm also entering this card into 4 Crafty Chicks challenge #6. You are to use "distressing" which is pretty much however you take it. I used distressing around each of the sentiments, the inside of the tree, and around all of the nuts.

I used create a critter and the sentiment was made on the computer.

The Martha Stewart coupon has been extended until 10-30-10. I have put the coupon on my side bar.

Autumn Inspired Wedding Box

Oct 8, 2010

I made this Autumn Wedding Box for my friend Liz. She asked me if I could make a box for her sister's wedding to hold cards from guests. The bride requested a burnt orange box with off-white/ivory ribbon and deep red flowers. When I tried the deep red flowers, it looked a little weird so I went with ivory flowers to match the larger ribbon. The flowers look lighter in the picture but they are an exact color match (I have horrible lighting in my living room :)

I'm thinking I did pretty well for my first wedding box. And I want to thank Liz and Janet for the challenge.

I Want Candy!

Oct 7, 2010

Okay... how cute is this chick? It's a super simple card but I just love how this little chick came out.

I'm entering this card in two challenges.  At More than Favors, the Wacky Wednesday Challenge is to make something with an animal in it. And at Jitterbuggin' the challenge is to follow the sketch with a gate fold card, put a trick or treater on the card using two different cartridges, and add a star somewhere on your card.

I used:
Paper Doll Dress Up for the witch costume
Create a Critter for the chick
Peachy Keen PK-754 Critter Face Set A Medium

Sentiment: Scrappy Mom's, A Haunting We Will Go

Trick or Treat

Sep 30, 2010

I'm using this card for three challenges.

The first challenge is at Made by Momo. This weeks Tuesday challenge is to use Green, Yellow, and Orange and you have to do some kind of faux stitching or Doodling. I thought it would be alright to use some black since other people used another base color on their cards.

At Cricut Cardz Challenge, you have to make an S-Fold or Z-Fold card for Halloween, using any cartridges and any colors you'd like.

And finally, at My Pink Stamper, you have to make a project that is a Halloween or Fall theme.

The little monsters came from Mini Monsters and I used the pumpkin costume and bee costume from Paper Doll Dress Up. I went a little crazy on the buttons but I bought a ton of them and need to start using them :)

3 Challenges...

Sep 28, 2010

Semi- Open
 Open all the way
 Closed card
I'm entering this project into 3 challenges. At Techniques by Trish, there is a creative scraps Sunday challenge. The challenge is to use Paper Doll Dress Up and ribbon. At 4 Crafty Chicks, the challenge is to complete a fall related project. And finally, at Fantabulous Cricut, they are celebrating national sewing month. The challenge is to create a project using some type of stitching, hand, machine or faux stitching.

It's a Boy!

Sep 25, 2010

My good friend Maria (Nena) is having a baby boy. Her baby shower is tomorrow and I made this super cute diaper cake and baby wipe case for her. I was completely inspired by Erin Lee Creative. I used Simply Charmed on the cake and the "BABY" letters on the wipe case are from target $1.

I still need to sew her a matching nursing cover and make a card to pull it all together. So check back for that soon ;)

EEK!

Sep 23, 2010

Over at Hear 2 Heart, the challenge is to follow this sketch.

I also wanted to enter this card in a Peachy Keen Challenge... but I was to late.
My baby girls didn't want to let me do to much crafting this week =[

Chill Out!!!

This card is for My Pink Stamper's 5 Million Celebration. The challenge is to make a card with a bird in it. I recently got Simply Charmed in the mail and I've been itching to use it.

I'm thinking I need to give this card to one of my students who has had trouble managing his anger. He's gotten into several physical altercations with other students and as a result, he's probably thinking I don't like him. On the contrary, I'm just trying to get him to "Chill Out" and find other ways to deal with his anger. I think this card will send him the message that I still care about him as a student but he needs to... Chill Out!

Challenge Time

Sep 19, 2010

I'm using this card for two challenges. At Made By Momo, the Tuesday Challenge is a "just because" kind of card. So I made this cute little card that I will most likely give to one of my many awesome co-workers :) The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms. At Practical Scrapers, the challenge is to use Ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge

Sep 16, 2010

It's time for another Throwback Thursday Challenge! The theme is personal choice with an older cartridge.  I've been meaning to start my second daughter's scrapbook and this challenge was the perfect opportunity to do so. If you lift the dress, you can see Leilani's ultrasound picture.

Wacky Wednesday Challenge #7

Sep 8, 2010

I'm entering in my first Wacky Wednesday Challenge. The challenge is to make anything inspired by a baby. So I made another baby wipe case. This one will be a baby shower gift for a co-worker. I'm thinking I'll make her a matching nursing cover to go with it. I found the letters at Target in the scrapbook area for 25 cents (so I bought a few).

I made other baby wipe cases last month so click here for that link.

labor Day Layout

Sep 7, 2010

Here's a quick little layout I made just before dinner for Erin's labor day layout challenge. I'm thinking it needs a little something... ribbon, buttons, bling, or something... but I just had to walk away from it for a bit. Have you ever had one of those days??? If you have any suggestions... I would love some input. Maybe I'll post a revised page tomorrow.

Trying something new... my first mini-book

Sep 6, 2010

I'm having so much fun playing with my Gypsy this weekend. I decided to try a mini-book to go along with the shutter fold card I made yesterday (I got super inspired by Emma).  It was so much easier than I thought it would be. Now I really want a Bind-It-All so I can make some more books.

I used Plantin Schoolbook, and Nana's Nursery - Baby Boy from DCWV

Trying something new... my first shutter fold card

Sep 5, 2010

My first attempt at a shutter fold card.
There's a lot of cutting involved but I had fun.
