I made this card and treat bucket for my daughter's teacher. The inside of the card said, 

"Wishing you a SWEET year filled 

with little SHARPIES who 

STICK to their learning goals!"  

I can't believe Maylena's going into kindergarten already!

I got the super cute sign she's holding from Yellow Bliss Road. Kristin created super cute chalkboard signs for each grade level for the first and last day of school. She even let's you create your own chalkboard sign. You can download them all for free! 

On a side note, since it's back to school time, I'd like to remind all you mommies and teachers out there about using tea tree oil to prevent head lice. You can buy speciality shampoos with tea tree oil or add some to your existing shampoo. Since both of my girls and I have such long beautiful hair... head lice is a huge fear of mine. So if there is something I can do to help prevent it, I'll do it! I like to use Original Sprout products.

Tea-riffic Teacher!

Hi there!

Today is the start of Teacher Appreciation Week! 

Many of you know that I'm a middle school math & science teacher... but these gifts are not for me ;) I've made tea bag holders for my daughters' preschool teachers. We are so blessed to have such amazing ladies looking after and educating our baby girls =D

CST Motivators!

Finally done with CST's!!! I teach middle school math and science. I made little motivational gifts for every student each day of testing. 4 days of testing x 50 students = 1 exhausted teacher. But my students loved 'em =D

Smartie Pants =D

It's DT day over at 

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

I teach middle school math and science. We started our CST testing this week. Each day I'm creating little motivational gifts for my students =D

Considering that I have over 50 students... this task is taking much longer than I had anticipated. But when my students saw their gifts, I was taken aback by how much they appreciated it. One student got teary eyed as he read my message and the rest of them were extremely grateful.

One student said he didn't really need my gift because I tell him nearly everyday just how smart he is and how much I believe in him. I feel so blessed to teach these kids =D

Math Is FUN!!!

I'm a 1st grade teacher and I volunteered to decorate a bulletin board at the district office. So I thought I would use Scraptastical Kreations' "Making the Grade" file. Here's my final 24"x24" bulletin board project. My students were making solid shapes and counting the marshmallow vertices and toothpick edges. Sorry... had to blur parts of the pictures to protect my students. Using SK's "Making the Grade" File.

1st Grade

I'm a 1st grade teacher and I volunteered to decorate a bulletin board at the district office. Cricut in the Classroom

I love using my Cricut to make gifts for my students and colleagues but I decided to put it to use on my bulletin boards too. The first board is based on Bloom's Taxonomy. I change the strategies and sentence frames every week depending on the skills being taught. The second board is my glorified job chart. My students get a weekly salary of $2000 for doing their classwork/homework. Students who take on classroom jobs get an extra $500 added to their salary. Our mascot is a dragon so I made up my classroom money and call it "Castle Cash." 

 

Students have to fill out a job application weekly for the position they would like. They have to convince me that they are the best candidate for the job :)
