Cricut in the Classroom

Aug 30, 2010

I love using my Cricut to make gifts for my students and colleagues but I decided to put it to use on my bulletin boards too. The first board is based on Bloom's Taxonomy. I change the strategies and sentence frames every week depending on the skills being taught. The second board is my glorified job chart. My students get a weekly salary of $2000 for doing their classwork/homework. Students who take on classroom jobs get an extra $500 added to their salary. Our mascot is a dragon so I made up my classroom money and call it "Castle Cash."

Students have to fill out a job application weekly for the position they would like. They have to convince me that they are the best candidate for the job :)

Masculine B-Dday Card

Aug 29, 2010

It was my hubby's birthday this week and I wanted to make a more masculine looking birthday card. He's a big time Raider fan so the colors are black and gray to go along with all the Raider apparel and Raider tickets he got for his birthday.

Can you tell that I've got a bit of a theme going on? My card is hanging on the top of the chair. I can't wait for him to come home :) I hope he likes it!

My 1st Throwback Thursday Challenge with Emma!

Aug 28, 2010

It's time for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. I love to look at all the projects that everyone makes for her challenges, but I decided that I would participate in it this time too. She is giving away a set of Cri-Kit markers and I hope I win... PICK ME... PICK ME... PICK ME... LOL.

P.S. Sorry about the horrible lighting on the picture... my hubby took the camera and I had to use my cell phone. Leave me a comment or become a follower... My goal is to hit double digits :)

B-day Signs

Aug 24, 2010

I've been having way to much fun with my Cricut lately.
I made these adorable birthday signs for my friends.

I hope they like them :)

This was my first attempt at using vinyl. It's not a birthday sign like the heading says (put it on the wrong post). The vinyl is on my 2 year old's door. She is sooooo spoiled :)

B-day gift bags

Aug 3, 2010

All of the gift bags are made of felt.
I made about 25-30 of each for different b-day's.
I think the tractor is my favorite :)

Baby Wipe Cases

I had so much fun making these baby wipe cases. The letters "love" and "cute" can be found at Target for $1 each. I found the fabric for each at JoAnn's in the scrap fabric section. I had to keep the pink and green one for myself. But I gave away the blue one to my boss. I'm thinking I'll make some more as baby shower gifts.
